What's your reason? My reason for what? You may be asking...You're reason to get better at taking photos of course! We all have different reasons we feel the need to pick up our phone or camera and snap a photo. For some it's the beauty of the sunrise, or just the perfect simplicity of the snow sitting on a branch. Other's take photos to show others they had a great night out with their friends. Other's have finally made a dinner or dish they are personally proud of and want to show it off. We all have a reason.
My reason is to REMEMBER. I was asking my kids the other day "What is your earliest memory?" as they each spat off different answers I was surprised to realize every memory they could remember was something we had a picture of. The simple reason I take pictures is so that we will remember. We'll remember we loved, cried, got messy, traveled, and loved this world. Our photographs are the only memories we may have of those things.
If you are interested in getting better at taking photos I'm offering a 6 week course of digital photography, so that you can pick up your camera with a little more confidence and you to can start down the road of remembrance.
